Diary of a Wimpy Kid (Dog days) - Jeff Kinney

This book is the sequel to the last one (The last straw). This book focuses on the summer after school finishes, when Greg has some rough patches with his dad. His dad was already upset at him for being bad at football in the last book, so Greg tries to impress him by becoming a boy-scout. On the day of their excursion, Greg is sick, but his dad can't back out because he signed up to be the bus driver. His father hated the trip without Greg, and when he came back, he was more upset than he was before. His mom wants Greg and his dad to bond, so she organized a trip to the waterpark. Sadly, the park is for little children, and so the trip is a wreck for Greg. His father is pretty upset, so he storms out of the house. When he returns, he brings a dog back with him. The family decide to call the dog 'sweetie', even though he is a boy! So this book is full of more other hilarious adventures that they have, and I suggest if you're bored, pick up a copy! But not suitable for adults.
