How to write about the effects of poetic techniques

"The writer has used a simile, ‘small as a butterfly,’ to present the notion of Hope. This suggests that Hope, like a butterfly, is something that can inspire people, change their attitude and enable them to transform their circumstances into something more desirable. However, as a “butterfly” is delicate and fragile, it also suggests that Hope can be fleeting, is too easily broken and sometimes difficult to find.’
