This book is a mystery/thriller and is very good. An 11 year old boy, Mark Sway, and his younger brother, Rick, were smoking, it's America, when a lawyer in a shiny lincoln, thats a car, pulls up. The man commits suicide with a bullet in his head. Rick witnesses this but was in denial and went into a state of shock. He stopped talking, he stopped eating and he stopped doing anything. The next witness is Mark and he gets taken into countless questionings and interrogations and soon finds out he had enough. He finds a kind lawyer called Reggie Love who wants to help him, even for free. She helps him out of every loophole and manages to protect him from the US attorneys and the mafia.
