Carefully re-read the ending of the story (from ‘The officers were satisfied’). How does Poe use writing features (sentence structure, vocabulary, imagery etc) to create a sense of rising tension toward the end of the story?

ReplyDeleteI can see all of Poe fine. Maybe you're just mad Aadit, like one of Poe's protagonists. Do blue eyes seem hellish and murderous to you? Should I beware of your presence when I sleep lest you creep in, upturn my bed and murder me?
